Agia Marina, 854 00, Greece
  • Three floor neoclassic house from 1910
  • Originally built by a Greek family (with the help of Toscan artisans)
  • Consecutively occupied by Italians, Germans and English before and during the Second World War, only to be returned to the original family after and remained theirs eversince
  • During the Italian occupation the house became known as “Dopo Lavoro” or “after work”, as it served as a place for the Italian elite to relax and socialize
  •  Rhodes’ archeological committee has declared this house “the most beautiful example of a Neoclassic house in the Dodecanese”
  • The main floor consists of a grand entrance hall, connecting to 4 very big rooms, a “salon”, a diner, a kitchen and a bedroom
  • The beautiful original stair leads to a grand hall again, leading to two more bedrooms, a bathroom (added in a later phase), and a general purpose room (study/office/…)
  • Below the main house, one enters an amazing gallery, and adjacent, a few spaces that were originally meant as the servants’ quarters, which more recently were used as an art atelier
  • The whole structure has been maintained unbelievably well, with enormous respect for the significance and historical value of the estate
  • The original handpainted murals have never been restored
